Excellence in Manufacturing: BAL wins TTA Award

Building Adhesives Ltd has been recognised in The Tile Association Awards 2011, winning the TTA Award for 'Excellence in Manufacturing.' Ian Crowther, TTA chairman, presented the trophy to David Shepherd, Operations Director, and Jon Blake, Head of Operations, at a ceremony attended by the leading names in the UK tile industry.

David Shepherd said, "Our manufacturing processes are constantly reviewed to ensure continuity and quality throughout BAL’s industry-leading product ranges. This includes adopting agile manufacturing programmes for operational flexibility, with making-to-order where required, and investing heavily in systems to allow more effective management of the site facility."

Jon Blake said, "We are also committed to investing in our personnel to ensure that product performance and innovation are complemented by service quality. Every customer-facing employee, from a Product Support Technician visiting a project to the Technical Advisory team answering telephone queries, represents a conduit for the customer feedback that informs everything that we do."
