Training courses available for installers:

  • Preparing and Tiling Timber Floors
    Demonstration and practical training on preparation/levelling, fixing and grouting to single layer timber, plywood, and floating timber floors.
  • Introduction to Adhesives & Grouts
    Practical and theoretical course on cementitious and ready-mixed adhesives, cementitious and epoxy grouts and sealants. Learn technical product information, fixing and application techniques to get you started in the industry or build on your existing knowledge.
  • Preparing and tiling to Anhydrite Screeds
    An in-depth hands-on training course on how to prepare and tile to anhydrite/calcium sulphate screeds, from scarifying, priming, moisture levels to uncoupling systems, fast-track tiling, adhesive selection and more!
  • Preparing and tiling to under tile heating
    A practical and theoretical training masterclass with Warmup UK on preparing and tiling onto underfloor and under tile heating systems. Includes an overview of the types of systems commonly found, practical demonstration of preparing single wire and mat systems, tiling techniques and grouting.
  • Preparing and tiling wet rooms
    An in-depth one-day course on waterproofing/tanking wet rooms, fixing techniques, grouting and essential products. Includes practical training and presentations.
  • Preparing and tiling mosiacs – bespoke on request
  • Cutting and installing of large format panels
    Get the low on accurate cutting techniques with manual and electric tools, safe handling and manoeuvring of slabs and correct installation on walls and floors with Sigma tools. BAL will give a run down on the correct preparation of backgrounds, adhesive and grout selection, plus an overview of British Standards.

    A comprehensive overview and hands-on training on identification of backgrounds, preparation and BAL Tiling Systems including screeds, renders, waterproofing, backerboards and DPMs.
