Technical Data

• A unique rubber-crumb, high-yield tile adhesive that performs as an uncoupling and fixing system in one – removing the need for uncoupling mats on problematic floors. BAL AF Max has anti-fracture technology that absorbs lateral stress movement from the floor protecting tiles from failures. With BAL AF Max get up to 8.5m2 per bag, meaning only 4 bags are needed for a 30m2 area.

  Specifiy BAL AF Max where uncoupling systems are usual specified – over heated screeds and other areas with limited movement. AF Max is sustainable high yield uncoupling and fixing system in one – made with 30% recycled content by weight. Removes the need for plastic uncoupling or anti-fracture mats. Lower lifecycle costs with BAL’s 25 Year Warranty. BAL AF Max also supports BAL’s Cool Earth partnership, helping to protect the rainforest.

  • Fibre reinforced cement boards and lightweight tile backer boards
  • Tongued and grooved floorboards, plywood overlay
  • Underfloor heating
  • Existing thermoplastic vinyl tiles

  Other substrates that may be suitable include:
  Steel, GRP (internal dry), Epoxy coatings
